With ‘The Honeycombs’

Rock Around the 60’s!

The Honeycombs with Honey Lantree (who also influenced Karen Carpenter to take up drums) burst onto the scene in 1964 as part of the Joe Meek revolution.  Their first single “Have I The Right” was a massive UK number 1 hit and held the top slot for a  3 weeks.  “Have I The Right” remained in the top five in a further 28 countries and was followed by many more hits.

Founder member Martin Murray originally called the band The Sheratons, but after passing Joe Meek’s audition…..The Honeycombs were born!

They are now bigger and better than ever, and even more dynamic onstage. Although over the years there have been a few incarnations of The Honeycombs, none have succeeded in capturing the Martin Murray / Joe Meek sound…..until now!

The Honeycombs will be joined on stage by Vanity Fare, Mike Berry and Richard Headingley… former singer with Chicory Tip.

Tickets £14, £12 concessions
